Hawzah News Agency- Prof. Hovhannes V. Hovhannisyan, chancellor of Yerevan State University, together with a group of faculty members and administrators of the university, visited the holy shrine of Lady Masuma (PBUH) in Qom on Thursday, June 23.

The Armenian faculty included Prof. Hovhannes V. Hovhannisyan, chancellor of Yerevan State University, Michael Hovhannisyan, Vice Chancellor for Development and Innovation of Yerevan State University, Archbishop Anushavan Jamkochian, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Morad Nourijanian, Head of the International Cooperation Office of Yerevan State University, and Vardan Veskanian, Chairman of Iranian studies at The Faculty of Oriental Studies in the University.

It is worth mentioning that on the sidelines of this visit to the original Iranian-Islamic architecture of Lady Masuma (PBUH) holy shrine, the Armenian Academic delegation got familiar with the position of Lady Masuma (PBUH) as a member of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), which is the center of development of Islamic sciences in the holy city of Qom as well as the Shia world.

During this visit, the President of Yerevan University was honored with a volume of Quran with English translation.
